Start a Minidoka VINELink Check
Start at the official Idaho VINELink application. Type the person's exact name. Add a booking or inmate identifier if the screen accepts one. The Idaho Sheriffs' Association describes VINE as a statewide service tied to jail booking systems across Idaho and to the Department of Correction. That makes it the right notification path to test for a Minidoka or MCCJC arrest record. Minidoka County posts no county-specific VINE status page. Read a match as the facility and status data shown for that person, not as proof that every MCCJC event reaches VINE at once. Cross-check the result with the Cassia-hosted MCCJC roster. Present custody questions can go straight to the jail. Call 208-878-1000 when release or confinement is urgent.
- Open Idaho’s official VINE route.
- Enter the exact name and known identifier.
- Compare the facility and custody details.
- Select the available notification control.
- Confirm urgent facts with the named facility.
How Minidoka Custody Alerts Work
VINE delivers notices. It does not create the arrest record itself. Data flows in from participating jails and IDOC interfaces. From there, eligible status information becomes available for searches and alerts, and registration may cover incarceration status, release, transfer, or court events by phone, email, text, or another option shown in the app. The jail side and the state side are not twins. The IDOC victim-services materials list free phone, text, email, and TTY choices. They also describe a four-digit PIN plus repeat calls every two hours for 48 hours until the PIN is entered. Those mechanics belong to the state system. Minidoka County does not promise that MCCJC alerts use every option on that same schedule.
Register Minidoka VINELink Notifications
Once the right person appears, open the result's registration control. Check the facility first. Match every identifier before saving the alert. Similar names happen. MCCJC is a shared adult detention center. Its population can include Minidoka, Cassia, IDOC, U.S. Marshals, ICE, Lincoln County, and courtesy holds. A match at the Burley facility does not say which county made the arrest. Pick a contact method that stays safe and private. Guard the four-digit PIN. The system may use it to confirm phone notices, so enter numbers and emails carefully, keep the confirmation, and re-register when contact details change.
- Custody status
- The facility or supervision state supplied by a participating agency.
- Transfer
- A move from one custodial agency or location to another.
- Release
- Departure from the reported custody event, not the end of the court case.
- PIN
- A private code used in some phone-notification workflows.
When Minidoka VINELink Finds Nothing
An empty result proves little. Spellings differ. Part of a public name may be masked, the booking may be too recent to transmit, or the person may already have been released. Protected records and juvenile matters stay out of public view. The person could sit outside the participating Idaho feed. Check the name against the official Cassia Recent Bookings page and the current roster. Use the exact booking number when one appears. Fresh bookings need time to process. Call MCCJC when safety or timing makes waiting unreasonable. For an older Minidoka arrest record, contact the Sheriff's Records Division at 208-434-2326.
Online lists lag both ways, so a person may linger on a roster after release while a new booking stays hidden from view for hours. Verify anything that matters rather than trusting one screen.
Compare Minidoka Custody Sources
Each Minidoka custody source answers its own question. No single tool does it all. The bookings feed, roster, VINE, records office, and court portal together build a fuller custody timeline.
| Source | Primary purpose | Key limit |
|---|---|---|
| Recent Bookings | Locate a newly posted adult intake | No strict 24-hour cutoff |
| MCCJC roster | Check current listed jail custody | Status can lag |
| Idaho VINE | Search one person and register for eligible alerts | Depends on participating data |
| Minidoka Records | Request available arrest documents | Exemptions and redactions apply |
| Idaho iCourt | Follow charges and disposition | Restricted cases may be absent |
A booking is jail intake. It marks the moment a person enters custody. A disposition is different. It is the court's later result in the case.
Verify a Minidoka Release Alert
Treat a notice as a prompt to check. Timing matters most when personal safety is involved. Read the facility, person, and event details in the alert. Call MCCJC at 208-878-1000 when the alert concerns its custody. The official legacy jail page warns that online status can lag. Current status, it says, can only be confirmed by phone or in person. VINE does not replace direct confirmation.
A release notice means the reported custody event changed. It does not mean the court case ended, every hold cleared, or supervision stopped. Another agency can take custody. The person may move into state, federal, or immigration detention. Check the named destination instead of assuming freedom.
Case events later live in Idaho iCourt. Match the case number, county, charge, and docket, since court records, jail records, and alerts each track a separate piece of the timeline.
State and Federal Custody Paths
A Minidoka arrest case does not always stay at the county jail. When someone moves into state correctional custody, the IDOC Resident/Client Search becomes the tool to use. Victim-services options there matter too. Treat a state result as a later custody stage. It is not a second Minidoka arrest log. Federal custody works through its own systems. The Federal Bureau of Prisons locator reaches federal inmates back to 1982, though it is not a live arrest feed and posts no booking photos. Immigration custody has its own search as well. The ICE Online Detainee Locator can find someone currently held by ICE, or held by CBP past 48 hours, subject to its search requirements. The separate DHS-VINE service serves federal immigration workflows and may require a victim, witness, or legal-representative affirmation. None of these tools, from Idaho VINE to BOP to ICE, substitutes for another. MCCJC minutes noting a federal hold do not produce a public U.S. Marshals roster.
No Minidoka Sheriff Alert App
February 2026 county minutes mention discussion of "The County Sheriff App." A request tied to opioid funds came with it. That is where the record stops. The minutes show no launch and no app-store listing. No booking search, alert feature, or photo policy appears either. So no Minidoka sheriff app should be treated as a live alternative to VINE. The sheriff's Facebook account does post announcements and linked press releases. Social posts are selective, though, and follow no booking schedule. They are not custody alerts. For supported channels, stick with the official VINE application. Use the Cassia jail pages, the MCCJC phone line, and the Minidoka Records Division.
Protect Minidoka Alert Details
Share only what your chosen alert truly needs. Guard the PIN. Keep the confirmation and any safety plan to yourself. Before you rely on the service, check that spam filters and phone settings will let a Minidoka County notice through, since a blocked message defeats the whole registration.
Official state materials describe VINE as free. Anyone who demands payment to guarantee a release alert sits outside the documented process. VINE does not supply booking photos either. For a public identification image, turn to the jail interface when one exists. Official copies come from the Records Division. This page hosts no photo gallery.
Note: Keep records lean, facility, registration date, and delivery method are enough.
When a notice arrives, test your voicemail and read the exact event language. Confusing details call for the agency's published number. Never reply to an unexpected message or follow an unverified payment link.
For same-day arrest information, the 24 Hour Arrests page is the better stop. A date-sorted arrest review belongs in the Arrest Log. Leave VINELink to one person, custody changes, and the notifications it handles.
